    1. Purpose

    1.1This Acceptable Use Policy protects Hosting UK, its customers, users, network, platforms and reputation.

    1.2The Customer is responsible for all use of the Services by its users, employees, contractors, customers and anyone accessing the Services through the Customer's account.

    2. Prohibited activities

    2.1The Services must not be used for unlawful, harmful, abusive, fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, obscene, threatening or malicious purposes.

    2.2The Services must not be used to interfere with the operation of Hosting UK's network, systems or other customers' services.

    3. Email and spam

    3.1The Customer must not send unsolicited bulk email, spam, phishing email, forged email, malware, abusive messages or email that breaches applicable law.

    3.2Hosting UK may restrict or suspend email services where reputation, deliverability, security or legal compliance is at risk.

    4. Security abuse

    4.1The Customer must not attempt unauthorised access, scanning, probing, credential attacks, exploitation, denial of service, interception or interference with systems or networks.

    4.2The Customer must not knowingly host or distribute malware, botnets, command and control systems, phishing kits or exploit tools.

    5. Content and intellectual property

    5.1The Customer must not host, upload, transmit or make available content that infringes intellectual property rights or breaches applicable law.

    5.2Hosting UK does not monitor all Customer content but may investigate reports and take action where appropriate.

    6. Resource abuse

    6.1The Customer must not use excessive resources or operate services in a way that degrades platform performance, network stability or other customers' services.

    6.2Hosting UK may apply limits, throttling, suspension or other controls to protect services.

    7. Enforcement

    7.1Hosting UK may remove content, block traffic, suspend accounts, disable services, notify authorities, terminate Services or take other reasonable action to enforce this Policy.

    7.2Hosting UK may act without prior notice where urgent action is required to protect security, availability, legal compliance or third parties.

    8. Reporting abuse

    8.1Abuse reports should be submitted using Hosting UK's published abuse reporting process.

    8.2Reports should include relevant evidence, headers, URLs, logs, timestamps and contact details where possible.
