I\u2019m delighted to announce that Windows Server 2016 is now available on our cloud platform.<\/p>\n

The latest release from Microsoft introduces a load of new features\u00a0including<\/a> support for the new HTTP\/2 protocol in IIS 10.0 which promises to speed up web site delivery and reduce load on web servers.<\/p>\n

Another long overdue feature is support for wildcard host headers, which means you can set up multiple sites on a single IP and have the web server deliver sites for any subdomain.<\/p>\n

The minimum requirement for Windows Server 2016 \u00a0is 1 GB of RAM and 30GB of disk although you\u2019ll probably want a little more than that for storage of your own files and also, 1 gig of RAM is not really going to deliver a lot.<\/p>\n

Our Cloud VMs start at \u00a37.50 a month, plus \u00a35.00 for any Windows operating systems, so \u00a312.50 in total to satisfy those basic requirements.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re serious about using Windows Server 2016 then I\u2019d opt for our High Speed VPS option 3, which will give you 4 CPU cores, 4 GB of RAM and 100GB of storage and with Windows Server 2016 will cost you \u00a335 a month, plus the usual kick back to the tax man if you\u2019re in the EU.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t have a Plesk Onyx version just yet, so if you are lusting after a fantastic control panel I\u2019m afraid you\u2019ll be using Windows Server 2012 R2 but we\u2019re working on it.<\/p>\n
